How did this happen.

Megan from HR. is a London-based comedy duo made up by Ambika Mod & Andrew Shires. The pair have been writing and performing comedy together for five years, having started off in award-winning, sell-out sketch comedy troupe, The Durham Revue.

Their debut show as a duo, Children of the QuornTM, was first performed in February 2019 and has since gone onto to experience a very successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, being listed in Three Weeks and The List as one of ‘Three to See Most Promising Sketch Shows’ and ‘Best Horror Comedies to Look Out For’ respectively, and receiving several 5* reviews. The show also enjoyed a sell-out transfer to the Pleasance, London and was scouted by Soho Theatre where it will be performed for a run later this year.

They are currently developing their second full-length show, Are You Not Entertained?!, which will run for the full length of the Edinburghh Fringe 2020 in the Pleasance Courtyard.

Alongside their work in Megan from HR., Ambika is an actor & improviser who has appeared in The Mash Report, and Andrew is an aspiring comedy writer, who has self-penned two comedy plays which have been performed at the Durham Drama Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe to great reception.

Praise for their work in The Durham Revue.

Between 2014 - 2017, Ambika and Andrew were members of renowned student sketch troupe, The Durham Revue. During their three years in the Revue, the society grew from strength to strength, gaining huge amounts of success and recognition in Durham and across the country. In their final year, Ambika served as President with Andrew as VP. That year saw the troupe experience more success than any year in its forty-year history, with their Edinburgh Fringe show Laugh Actually breaking records across the board.
